Discipline Brought to IT Services
In 2008, Shannon Jones, a Marine Corp veteran, spent many years in the Australian outback, battling snakes, spiders, and the occasional lion. On one occasion, a mob of crazed, rabid Kangaroos surrounded him and started to attack. Shannon valiantly eluded the Kangaroos, but he never forgot their tenacity, speed and strength.
When Shannon returned to the States he found that IT services companies in Knoxville lacked the discipline and urgency of support that businesses deserved. He frequently talked with business owners who felt neglected by their provider and complained that service was slow, or problems never got resolved.
Shannon started Roo Tech Services to fill the gaps that other local IT service providers left behind. He decided to use his formal military training and discipline to help customers in an efficient and friendly manner.
Shannon never forgot that encounter with the Kangaroo mob and named the company after them in respect for their speed and resilience.

Thankfully, Shannon was able to narrowly escape with his life. As the Kangaroos attacked and piled on, he crawled his way out from under the pile and found a nearby farmer in a pickup truck driving by. He was able to get a ride from the farmer as they were chased by the horde of kangaroos. Shannon and the farmer (Billo) have been friends ever since.
